Sharing What I Love to Do

I was holding a card class once and I said “Ladies I want to share with you tonight what I am passionate about and love to do.”  One of the more sarcastic ladies replied “Order your Stampin Up?”  “No,” I replied, “I do love to order from Stampin Up! but that has nothing to do with this class tonight.  Tonight I’m going to share my love of paper crafting.  I don’t care if you use Stampin Up! or any other product, but I want to share how much I love to create but more importantly how much I love to share that with others.”

So I am passing my love along to you guys and I am sharing.  The first person who can guess what card I am working on will win a Paper Crafting goody bag from me.  Leave a comment below.  Take a wild guess, you never know, you may be right!

The first person with the correct answer will win.  Good luck!

World Card Making Day Info

Someone just emailed me and asked what World Card Making Day was all about.  Here it is quite simply:

World Card Making Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in October. It’s a day for the card-making community to unite and celebrate the connection and creativity that is the heart of card making. It began in 2006 founded by Paper Crafts magazine.

Thank you for joining me in the fun today for World Card Making Day 2012!

Masculine Birthday Card

I needed a quick birthday card this week.  In between my daughters birthday, work, school starting for me and being sick, I forgot to make my boyfriend a birthday card.  (Sorry about that dear!)  So I made a quick and easy masculine birthday card.  I was worried it was too simple but then I got the ultimate compliment.  My twelve year old son says “O Mom!  I want one of these on my birthday! Wow!”  Even with a migraine I puffed my chest a little higher and preened.

This card is very simple and it is perfect for new stampers, seasoned stampers looking for something new or when you need something quick.  There is no stamping on the outside only the inside.  Since the card base was black I lined the inside of the card with vanilla cardstock.

Supplies used:

Well Scripted stamp set (retired)

Clear stamp block

Classic black stamp pad

Very Vanilla cardstock

Basic black cardstock

Designer series paper-retired (sorry I am blanking on the name will update later when I remember)

1/8″ Basic black taffeta ribbon

Paper trimmer

Snail adhesive

All products Stampin Up! unless otherwise noted
