Christmas in July Day 8 Paper& Ink Sketch

Happy Friday  everyone and welcome to Christmas in July Day 8.  Today’s Christmas projects was created using the Paper & Ink Sketch #1.  Here is Sketch #1 details:

And here is the card I created.

This card was so much fun to create!  I really enjoyed making the poinsettia yesterday so I did the same again today.  I started by creating a card base from Real Red Card Stock.  I cut my card stock to 8 1/2″ x  5 1/2″, scoring and folding in the middle.  I then followed the sketch from above.  I cut my This Christmas Designer Series Paper to 5 1/4″ x 2″.  I adhered this to the top with Snail Adhesive.  I then cut and adhered the Gold Natural Trim to the bottom of the designer series paper as a border.   Next I needed to create the poinsettia.  I  used the Festive Flower Punch to punch pieces out of Real Red Card Stock and Gold Foil Sheets.  I used the Gold Foil Sheets for the leaves to the poinsettia and the stamens in the middle.  I folded the leaf and flower pieces in half to give the flower character.  I adhered them to each other using Multipurpose Liquid Glue Pearl Basic Jewels. I used Snail Adhesive to adhere them to the page.   I stamped the sentiment from the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set with Jet Black StazOn Ink.  It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
