Paper & Ink Sketch Card 10

Standard

Today’s card used the Paper & Ink Sketch #10.  This was a fun card to make.  You can use the sketch to make your own but here is how I made mine. I used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and then folded.  I next cut a piece of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″ then adhered with Snail Adhesive to my Whisper White Cardstock card base.  I cut a piece of Real Red Cardstock to 2 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and used a scrap piece of Real Red Cardstock and my scalloped die from Layering Circle Framelits Dies. Then cut a piece of Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (a differnt pattern from the first) to 2″ x 4″.  Adhere this to the Real Red Cardstock using Snail Adhesive and then adhere this to your card base as pictured.  Cut a circle one size down from your scallop circle you cut earlier using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies and Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Adhere them together and adhere as pictured.  Cut a small circle from a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock using the Layering Circle Framelits Dies.  Stamp the sentiment from the Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set using Real Red Classic Stamp Pad.  Using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamp a gingerbread man using Crumb Cake Classic Stamp Pad.  Punch out the gingerbread man using the Cookie Cutter Builder punch. Add two small Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the gingerbread man for buttons and also to the white circle. You may refer back to my photo for placement. I hope this card inspires you to make something crafty!

Paper & Ink Sketch Card 9

Standard

Today I have my take on the Paper & Ink Sketch Card #9 and the original sketch.  You too can make this card by following the sketch.  I made mine by cutting an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of Whisper White Cardstock in half, leaving me with two pieces measuring 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″.  Set one aside.  The other one score on the 8 1/2″ side at 4 1/4″.  Fold in half for your card base.  Cut the holly piece of Presents & Pinecones to 5 1/4″ x 4″. Adhere to the card base using Snail Adhesive.  Cut a different sheet of Presents & Pinecones, I used the lighter green that matched the holly, to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″.  Adhere to the holly piece using your Snail Adhesive.  Set card aside so you can stamp.  Cut a piece of Whisper White Cardstock to 3″ x 4″.  Stamp the image from the Wonderful Year Stamp Set using Real Red Classic Stamp Pad then adhere to your card as pictured.  To finish your card, add 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the upper left corner. I used two small and one medium rhinestone.

Normally I do not stamp inside my card but rather use it to write a little letter.  Today’s card however I felt begged for a little something on the inside.  Here is the sentiment I chose from Oh, What Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I used Real Red Classic Stampin Pad.

Peek a Boo Reindeer with Santa, Take THREE

Standard

Here is my THIRD take on my Peek a Boo Reindeer with Santa.  By adding Real Red Cardstock as a back ground, gives it a little more color. But by cutting the Real Red Cardstock to frame the other cut pieces, awesome!!!

You can find a tutorial on how to make the original card on my Facebook page.  It was a LIVE video earlier today.  To make card take two, add Real Red Cardstock as a background before you add anything else. Simply cut your Real Red Cardstock to 5 1/4″ x 2 1/4″ and adhere your Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper and cut Real Red Cardstock to 1 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ and adhere to your Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped images.  Then adhere to Crumb Cake Cardstock card base. This is such a simple boost to your card design.

Here is the video tutorial:
