Welcome back to my 13 Days of Halloween series. Today is World Card Making Day! These last five posts for my series all go together to make a quick and easy gift for the Halloween lover you know, a boxed set of 3×3 cards.
First thing you will do is assemble a Mini Pizza Box. Next cut a piece of Basic Black Cardstock to 3 3/8” x 3 3/8” and adhere to top of box. Next cut out one of the moon and tree squares from the Spooky Nights Designer Paper Series. Trim it down to 3” x 3” and stamp ‘Happy Halloween’ from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set in the moon space as pictured. Now, adhere the moon piece to the Basic Black Cardstock, slightly crooked. Add three Black Rhinestones.
Cute, quick and easy peasy. Yes the cards will be just as easy! See you back in 2 hours for day 10!
Welcome to World Card Making Day! I decided to celebrate this special event by saving my last five posts for my 13 Days of Halloween series. Today we will be making an cute and easy gift to give the Halloween lover. I already have a person in mind when I designed this gift. I will also be posting one non-Halloween Card post today too!
13 Days of Halloween, day 9, will post at 9am. See you then!
Good morning and welcome to day 8 of my 13 Days of Halloween. Today we are making a Halloween harvest card.
First cut your Whisper White Thick Cardstock to 8 1/2” x 5 5 1/2”, scoring at 4 1/4” on the 8 1/2” side. Next cut Basic Black Cardstock to 4” x 5 1/4” and a second piece to 2 3/8” x 4 3/4”. Set it aside for now. Cut two pieces of Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock to 3 3/4” x 1 3/4” and one piece to 3 3/4” x 1”. Set to the side for now. Cut two different scraps from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (I used the checkered and the trick or treats paper) to 2 1/8” x 4 1/2”. Cut them in half and set aside. Also cut out some pumpkins (I used 4) from the same paper. Cut a piece of Burlap Ribbon to 12”. Set aside with the rest of your cut paper. Stamp Happy Halloween from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set on a scrap of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad.
Now take everything you have set aside and put it together using the picture below. Adhere everything down using Snail Adhesive. Oops I forgot, add the black circle and punch out a center hole. Tie the Solid Black Baker’s Twine to the tag before you adheren it down.
To finish it off, Punch out a black cat from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper using the Spooky Cat Punch. I tucked him behind a pumpkin but in front of the burlap ribbon.
Welcome to day 7 of 13 Days of Halloween. Today we are making a watercolor card. It’s spooky and cool, all at the same time!
First start with Very Vanilla Thick Card Stock cut to 11” x 4 1/4”, scored at 5 1/2”. Fold along the score line. Fill your Aqua painter with water. We will use it with ink to watercolor. Start with the Marina Mist Classic Stamp Pad. Squeeze the stamp so when you open it, there is ink in the top. This is the ink you will use to watercolor from the stamp pads. Using the ink with your Aqua Painter, paint the base blue as pictured below.
Next, paint your sky with Fresh Fig Classic Stamp Pad. Go back and paint an area again with more Fresh Fig, leaving a circular space free for the setting sun you are going to paint, see photo below for reference.
Using the Crushed Curry Classic Stamp Pad, paint your sun. Using a small amount of Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad, paint just a small amount around the outside to give it depth.
You will now Stamp the gravestones from the Graveyard Gate Stamp Set using Smoky Slate Classic Stamp Pad. Using your Aqua Painter, run it along the bottom of the gravestones dragging the gray ink out on each side.
Using some more Smoky Slate Classic Stamp Pad Ink, darken the gray area. Then clean the ink off your Aqua Painter and run it along the gravestones, blending out the lines as pictured below.
Stamp bats from the Graveyard Gate Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Stamp Pad Ink in the sky.
To finish off the card stamp the saying “Have a haunted Halloween” in the upper left hand corner in Tuxedo Black Memento Stamp Pad. Last, cut out a gate using the Detailed Gate Thinket Die with Basic Black Card stock. Adhere the gate to your card front using Liquid Multipurpose Adhesive. Voila! It’s done!
Welcome to day 6 of my 13 Days of Halloween. This card is just so cute! I made my own deaigner series paper by stamping out a pattern on it. It was super easy to do.
First cut a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Card stock to 11” x 4 1/4”,score at 5 1/2”. Next cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to 3 3/4” x 5”, a piece of Basic Black Card stock to 4 1/2” x 3 1/2” and a piece of Whisper White Thick Card stock to 3 1/4” x 4 1/4”. One the Whisper White Thick Card stock Stamp the images from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set as pictured. This is your very designer series paper now! I used Tuxedo Black Stamp Pad, Lemon Lime Twist Classic Ink Pad, Pumpkin Pie Classic Stamp Pad and Wisteria Wonder Classic Stamp Pad.
Using the Layering Circle Framelit Dies, Punch out a 2 1/2” scallop circle in Basic Black Card stock and a 2 3/8” circle in Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock. Adhere all the layers together as pictured using Snail Adhesive. Easy peasy, Lemon squeasy!!
Welcome to day 5 of 13 Days of Halloween! Today I have a 12×12 scrapbook page for you.
Start with a 12×12 sheet of Smoky Slate Cardstock. Cut two photo mats out of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4 1/2” x 6 1/2”. Adhere downusing Snail Adhesive. On a scrap of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock stamp the greeting “Have a haunted Halloween” from the Graveyard Gate Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. Adhere down using two Stampin Dimensionals. I put the Dimensionals down in between the two mats so I could slip photos down under it later.
Next you will need to cut out 3 Detailed Gate Thinlet Die. There is a secret to cutting this due out. I found if I used a shim of an extra bit of Cardstock when I run it through it cuts better. This is a very detailed die so you will need to keep running itthrough until it cuts completely through all of it. It took me 4 or 5 times Running it through for each gate. After you have the gates cut you will need to trim off the top of two gates and then lay them out at the bottom of the page to see where else you need to trim to make it fit your page.
Next trim excess bits off, die cut the lock and the key using Silver Foil Sheets. Cut the lock at the top and slip it around the gate. Adhere gates down to make the fence then tuck the key under before it dries. I used Liquid Multipurpose Glue to adhere everything down as pictured below.
And to complete your page, cut out some pumpkins from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. Glue the taller pumpkin down with Snail Adhesive and pop up the shorter pumpkin with Dimensionals. If you want to change it up a bit, you could may your photo mats with Basic Black Cardstock cut to 6 3/4” x 4 3/4”. Hope you liked today’s project!
Today is Day 4 of my 13 Days of Halloween. Today we are making this adorable treat box. The inside is filled with Rolos.
This is very easy to make and will make a cute Halloween goodie for the ghouls you know. First put together one of the Clear Tiny Treat Box. Set the box aside. Next cut the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper to 6” x 6”, then score it at 2” and 4”. Be careful not to score too hard or you may tear your paper. Turn your paper once and score again at 2” and 4”. Fold and burnish your paper. Cut the outside squares at the four corners so it looks like the picture below.
Place the paper inside your box and fill it wth candy. Close the box. To decorate the outside use your Cat Punch to punch out one orange cat from the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper. Stamp “Trick or Treat” from the Spooky Cat Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and cut it out as desired. Adhere the cat to the box with Glue Dots and the saying to the cat using Dimensionals.
I hope you are enjoying my 13 Days of Halloween!
